Our Story

The name "Casa Tere Ana" holds special meaning for us—it's a heartfelt tribute to the two extraordinary women who shaped our lives. Juan's mother, Teresa, and my mother, Ann, inspired not only our name but also our commitment to creating a warm, welcoming home away from home for our guests.

Our journey to opening Casa Tere Ana began with a dream that started in my early twenties. After staying at my first bed and breakfast, I knew that someday I wanted to "retire" by owning one myself. That dream remained with me for decades, waiting for the perfect moment and place to become reality.

That moment came in 2018 during our first visit to San Miguel de Allende. By the end of our second day exploring this magical colonial city, I turned to Juan and said, "This is where I want to retire, and I want a bed and breakfast." The vision was crystal clear—San Miguel's charm, Juan's exceptional breakfast cooking skills, and my lifelong dream all came together perfectly.

We spent the following years planning and searching for the ideal property, finally closing on our beautiful casa in 2024. Casa Tere Ana represents not just a business venture, but the culmination of a dream years in the making.

We offer two beautifully appointed guest rooms:

• The Tere Cuarto: Features a luxurious king bed and cozy fireplace
• The Ana Cuarto: Offers a comfortable queen bed in an equally inviting space

Each room includes thoughtful amenities designed for your comfort: heated mattress pads paired with supremely comfortable mattresses, climate control with heaters, AC, or fans, plush robes and slippers, grip socks for safety, bottled water, compact refrigerators, earplugs for peaceful sleep, flashlights for convenience, spacious closets with built-in drawers, smart TVs with Firesticks, reliable Wi-Fi, modern bidet seats, and professional hair dryers.

Crown jewel of our outdoor spaces is the rooftop terrace, complete with tables and chairs where you can enjoy our signature cocktails while taking in the breathtaking views of San Miguel's colonial skyline.
